INTRODUCTION TO THE POLL:
THIS IS NOT FOR SURE YET...JUST A THOUGHT.
I have had parent after parent ask me if I would teach them how to work a camera for the in between AP photo session days...."I'll pay you, you name the price." Well here's my idea of how this would go down....
In January, I am thinking about offering one on one brainwash sessions with yours truly.... : ) These sessions would be for moms or dads that are looking to up their skills in capturing life in between the Anglen Photography photo sessions.
These sessions would be spilt into 3 weeks, one hour each week (same day and time).
Week One: Basic's of SLR camera
Week Two: I come to your place for the hour (kids would need to be present) and they press on with their every day routines that you have just been dying to capture but just can't figure out which button or dial to turn, and I show you what speed, aperture, etc. (You would learn what these words mean in week one) you will need to capture these moments.
Week Three: You bring in your photos on your computer and we edit them minimally in whatever software you use (You will tell me what software in week 2). I of course will not be teaching extensive editing....I do have to keep my job people ha!
Once again this is not a "Start Your Own Photography Business" class. TRUST ME...there is a lot more to running a photography business then just knowing how to work a camera and a computer.....taxes, bills, scheduling, ordering, client relations, $$$EQUIPMENT EXPENSE$$$$, staying up until the wee hours of the morning typing blog post such as this one because you could not go to sleep because all of the peoples faces that you edited today won't stop starring at you hahaha! Just kidding....but I could go on FOREVER with the tasks I do on a day to day basis but I will not make you feel too sorry for me :)
Anyhow....These classes would run $500 for the 3 weeks and would include a small workbook with notes from me and a place for you to take notes. OF course I might throw in a couple of prints from the home session that we do together in week 2.
Now for the Poll:
And of course a Photo to end the post This is a clue for the surprise in December:
